Nicole Nugent, Reporter

Open Minded:  We critically appreciate our own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. We seek and evaluate a range of points of view, and we are willing to winner grow from the experience.

“Being open minded doesn’t mean changing your opinion to fit others, it’s being able to understand and respect where their opinion came from or why they have that opinion.” -Emma Carbary (11)

“Personally, being open minded means and meant being accepting of ideas that I was hesitant hearing at first, and instead of being condescending to views that were different than mine. I was able to probe and ask questions to people that had different vantage points than me.” -Sam Saba (11)

“Staying open minded helps me to see everyone’s perspectives.” -Jenna Tryan (9)

“I think it is very important to be open minded and accept others for who they are while trying to be empathetic and understanding. Also, it is vital to be flexible when learning new things so we can learn and grow from every experience we have.” -Jack Sanitate (9)
